About Us

Heatsmart is a locally owned family business drawing on the experience of 4 generations of Heating engineers. Formed in 2005 and based in Rangiora, North Canterbury, we design, consult and supply Nationwide and install in Canterbury.

Specializing in Residential home heating and Light Commercial applications, we occasionally get involved in more industrial systems such as custom Grain Driers, Vacuum Kiln Timber Drying systems, Apiary/Honey processing facilities, Concrete Curing systems and the odd miniature molten Metal Furnace.

We believe firmly in the conservation of Energy and resources; our systems are primarily designed with maximizing efficiency while still providing our clients with the comfort and performance they require. Our focus on efficiency, while being acutely aware of the value vs cost trade-off, has led us to get more and more involved in fully Off-Grid systems and systems with extremely low (and in some cases Zero) electrical budgets.
