Why Central Heating

Although our climate is quite temperate in New Zealand, our homes are some of the coldest in the world through lack of insulation and an efficient heating system, leading to uneven temperatures and unhealthy living conditions.

Warm water central heating is highly efficient and easy to control making it economical to run while being environmentally friendly. This has made it the preferred method of heating for almost half a century in the temperate climates of Europe, North America and parts of Asia, in fact throughout two thirds of the world, although it can be traced back to Roman times.

Traditionally Kiwi’s have heated their homes with a single log burning fire, which delivers excess heat to the living areas and leaves the bedroom areas well below the 16º C that the World Health Organisation recommends for healthy living. This is not a healthy or effective heating solution.
